Dr Jonathan McPherson

MBChB (Edinburgh)

Dr Jonathan McPherson is originally from Edinburgh, Scotland, after completing his studies there and meeting his wife in Italy, he worked in hospitals in the UK for 2 years. They then decided to try NZ for a year and liked it so much they stayed in Rotorua, where he worked for 2 years in the local hospital and 5  years in a semi-rural general practice. His special interests include paediatrics, cardiology and nutrition. When not working, He loves travel, reading, music and doing voluntary work in the community.

Dr Russell Eggleton

MBChB (Otago)

Dr Russell Eggleton is currently interested in all areas of general practice, but he is especially keen on gaining experience in minor surgery. He graduated from the University of Otago, and he loves to play golf and tennis.

Dr Janli Stapelberg


Dr Stapelberg was trained at UFS in Bloemfontein South Africa. She came to New Zealand in 1994 and specialized in general practice in 2013. Janli has special interests in skin problems, skin cancers, asthma, allergies and minor surgery. She is passionate about quality of care and prevention. Janli is fluent in English and Afrikaans.

Dr Bruce Greenfield


Dr Bruce Greenfield started CMC in Howick in 1972. His medical specialties now include care of the elderly and teaching Graduate doctors. He is a WINZ Designated Doctor and does minor surgery for the Plastics Dept of South Auckland Health. Golf is his main sporting interest. Languages English.

Dr Brendon Aish


Dr Brendon Aish is a NZ born and trained Family Practitioner with a love of his family of four children and has a passion for good health outcomes for everyone in the community. He believes communication is key to healthy relationships.

Dr Yunn Wen Lai


Dr Yunn Wen is a graduate of The University of Auckland. Originally from Malaysia, Yunn Wenn is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese. Yunn Wen has special interests in care of the elderly and general medicine. Yunn Wen has been working in Auckland Hospitals since 2011, in the areas of General Medical and medical sub-specialties. In her spare time Yunn Wen enjoys baking anf playing badminton.

Dr Michael Chen

Dr Michael Chen

BSc, BMedSc (Hons), MBChB

Dr Michael Chen has recently joined the team at Crawford Medical Centre. Michael is an Otago University Medical School graduate. He has been working in hospitals in Dunedin and Auckland DHBs prior to joining Crawford. Michael emigrated from China in 1995 and has spent considerable time in urban and rural New Zealand. He is fluent in both English and Mandarin. His main sporting interest is tennis.

Dr Paul Jones

MBChB (Glasgow) MRCGP (UK)

Dr Paul Jones qualified from Glasgow Medical School in 2008. Since then he has worked emergency roles in pre and post hospital care and in community roles. He worked in Military Medicine and was Medical Officer to elite units, gaining accreditation as a Royal Navy Officer (UK) and completion of Commando training.  He was awarded membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (UK) after completing training in 2017, and worked as a GP on the outskirts of Edinburgh prior to coming to New Zealand.

Dr Vincent Yiu


Dr Vincent Yiu graduated from Otago University Medical School in 2003. He has been working as a GP since 2008 in New Zealand and Melbourne. He also worked in Hong Kong for 8 years as a Family Physician. His special interests in medicine are paediatrics, minor surgery, men’s health and psychiatry. In his spare time, Vincent enjoys singing, drawing and anything tech related. Vincent is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Isabella Wright

DipApSc(Nursing), BHSc, PGDip (Advanced Nursing), MPH, Doctoral Candidate

Isabella Wright completed her nursing degree 30 years ago in Sydney and has worked in the aged care sector in many roles in Australia and New Zealand.  She has held a variety of roles including Clinical Educator, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Director of Nursing and has worked as a Lecturer at AUT, as well as a Quality Auditor.

Endorsed as a Nurse Practitioner in 2012, with scope of practice specialising in older adult care, Isabella now contracts to Crawford Medical in Howick.  She runs independent clinics in large residential aged care hospitals in Auckland, with a particular interest and experience in dementia care. Her passion for academic excellence has inspired her to commence a Doctor of Health Science degree through Auckland University of Technology, due to be completed in 2022.
